Govindpur Degree College, Cuttack was granted the Permanent Recognition in session 2003-04 and the Permanent Affiliation was given to the College by the affiliating Utkal University, VaniVihar, Bhubaneswar in the 2004-05 session. The UGC, New Delhi accredited the College with the grant of Section 2(F) in the year 2008 and Section 12(B) in the year 2012 vide their approval Order No F.No 8-165/2008(CPP)/dtd. 4th September 2012.
