Established in the year 1981, Sarbati Devi (SD) Women’s College is a prominent educational institution located in Rajgangpur, Odisha, India. It is dedicated to providing quality education to women and empowering them to excel in various fields. The college offers a variety of undergraduate courses, typically in the arts, commerce, and science streams, with a focus on fostering academic and personal growth among its students. The institute provides BA Hons.in Economics, Pol. Science, Odia, Education, History & Home Science and B.Sc. with 64 seats (all Hons) with Hons in Physics (16), Chemistry (16), Botany (16), Mathematics (08) and Zoology (08). Commerce stream also started imparting teaching from the session 2017-18 with 64 seats in the Higher Secondary classes. The present strength of the College is 1280. The College provides Hostel facilities for around 300 students. Being located in an area predominantly inhabited by tribal and backward classes, the College provides a unique opportunity to them for higher education.
Sarbati Devi Women’s college was established in the year 1981 in this small but cosmopolitan town of RAJGANGPUR, to providing education to local girls and now a days the College has grown into an important centre of learning for women catering to the needs of all categories of students of Sundargarh District as well as other parts of the state.
